Numerical simulation of a turbulent flow in the Francis hydroturbine

Using the real Francis turbine as an example, we study the applicability of the standard k–ε turbulence model for predicting hydrodynamic losses in its flow passage. There is good agreement of local and integral flow characteristics calculated by the CADRUN program complex developed by the authors with experimental data.
