    Studied biology at the Universities Frankfurt a.M. and Bremen. From 2004 to 2009 she worked as research associate at the Institute of Molecular Psychiatry of the University of Bonn, where she received her PhD in biology in 2009. Since 2009, she holds a postdoctoral position working as coordinator of scientific research and teaching at the Institute of Molecular Psychiatry.

    Professor Andreas Zimmer received his diploma in biology from the University of Giessen, Germany, in 1986 and received his doctoral degree in 1989 for research conducted in the Center for Molecular Biology in Heidelberg and the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen. From 1989 to 2000, he worked at the National Institutes of Mental Health, USA, in several positions, from a postdoctoral fellow to an independent investigator and group leader. In 2000, he was appointed Professor for Molecular Neurobiology at the University of Bonn. He became Chair for Cell Biology at the University of Bielefeld in 2006, but returned to the University of Bonn in 2008 as the Director of the newly founded Institute of Molecular Psychiatry.
